SIZE OF THE BARGAINING UNIT: 111.
LOCATION: FAA regional offices only. The Washington, D.C., group is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
THEY ARE: These employees provide all legal services within the regional offices. The group includes
para-professionals as well but excludes personnel-oriented employees and those unable to (by statute) join a bargaining unit.
STATUS: NATCA won the election on January 4,2001 with 90 percent of the vote. The FLRA issued its Certification of Representative.
INTEREST TO NATCA: These professionals have a hands-on understanding and experience of legal issues and their implications to both bargaining unit members and the agency. Their working knowledge of FAA legal procedures and interpretations will provide invaluable insight.
