AAM-DRUG ABATEMENT INSPECTORS (NUDAI)
SIZE OF THE BARGAINING UNIT: 40.
LOCATION: Primarily located in FAA regional offices. However, a few are located at the FAA HQ, and a field office in Miami.
THEY ARE: They are responsible for ensuring the air carriers that operate in U.S. are in compliance with the DOTs Drug and Alcohol Testing regulation and policy. They mainly conduct random checks and audits on the carriers' program as it relates to the federal regulations on Drug and Alcohol Testing program.
STATUS: NATCA won the election with 90 percent of the vote and FLRA certification was issued on January. 3, 2002.
INTEREST TO NATCA: This unit could be a tremendous asset in gaining further knowledge concerning DOT/FAA's drug and alcohol testing programs.
